That's ok neither is Montreal, Roy is a keeper and Anderson is here at least until the TDL before his contract expires

Pretty sure Boston and Nashville aren't doing that, and Montreal should focus on keeping their young guys instead of trying to compete early

Yes, because no one wants Anderson until then.

I wouldn't say that there was interest in the offseason but Hughes ask was high cause he didn't want to trade him.

Nashville keeps Carrier. No reason for them to trade him. He fits in perfectly for Preds D

None of us our GMs, so we don’t know. “Insiders,” aren’t the end all be all.

Furthermore, it seems like a lot of posters on here, particularly habs fans actually, hear, “there is interest in this player,” and somehow transform that in their brain to, “this player has tremendous value.”
A team could tell the habs that if they retain 50%, and pay a first, that they would take Anderson. That’s interest technically.

Ask them why they were neck and neck with Montreal to acquire Dvorak a year ago…

Well this is in two years, he’ll be 28. They should be rebuilding by then.

Getting a 2nd for Anderson and Roy isn’t “tremendous value” and if you truly believe Montreal would need to retain and add a pick in a Anderson trade then you’ve learned nothing about NHL GM’s. just because YOU don’t like a player doesn’t mean nhl GM’s don’t like said player.. you have got to be under 17 years old.

No I’m about double that, I’m just smarter than you is all. Actually that might not be true, you might just be blindly loyal.

Of course no one wants Anderson. Thats obvious.

Like the other guy pointed out, I’ll take Friedman’s word over yours. That might be a bad idea considering you’re “smarter” than everybody lmao

They were not really they kicked the tires, that was about it. And that was then. Bergy and Coyle was their entire center depth at the time. Things have changed.

    Doubt B’s even consider this.

If they move Ullmark in the offseason it’s to create cap space. This does not.

If Poile is still there in two years than there won't be a rebuild. I just don't think he'll do it.

A couple months ago he said Montreal should get a significant return for Anderson. You said you’re over 30, you’re telling me you haven’t figured out yet that GM’s love players like Anderson? Just like they love players like Chiarot and trade a 1st ++ for him then give him 5 mill, or give Gudbransson 4 mill when he’s worth no more than 1 mill.. A lot of GM’s do things we as fans wouldn’t do.. They value certain types of players for whatever reason. That’s just a fact.

You realize this is 2 seasons from now, yes? The only centre they will have is Coyle.. Bergeron will probably be retired.

That will have changed completely by then and I don’t expect Ullmark to still be here by then. The odds both are still on their respective rosters in 2 years in order to do this is slim.

Whats a serious offer? 1st round pick? 3rd round pick? Future considerations? 5th round pick with 25% retained?
