Description
I think jarnkork would fit very well into that first line
second line is fine
third line changing it up again because I'm curious how would aube-kubel would fit with kerfoot and bunting.
I know it's not a great comparison but kerfoot and laughton.

They have some similar skills. There both hard working, 2-way players, both on the PK, both solid. NAK has played with laughton and I guess it wasn't a bad line either...

4th line I'd bring back simmonds because ZAR is disappointing me. Engvall is also a disappointment. Dude forgot that he's 6'5. He acts like he's 5'7.

Another thing I've been hearing is that leaf fans want keefe gone. Which is the dumbest thing ever. Getting rid of keefe is dumb. some would say well what if trotz would come to toronto. But what if he doesn't who are you going to have better??? Probably no one

Let me also hear your thoughts on what would be the cost of those 2 D men. If leafs were to get one of them

Murphy = late 1st or (2) 2nd rounders or the equivalent prospect

I get the sense Chicago would move Murphy to be rid of his contract but he's also still a pretty good player, so it would require an actual asset (a 1st or a prospect of roughly that value)

He's not a superstar but he's useful and cost-controlled and will slot in well as a second-pairing guy on a playoff team.

As someone who is around 5'7 and was never a good hockey player, I think the comparison is accurate.

And I think your reasoning makes sense. Honestly, I would be happy with them trying anything to kick start this team.

Also, I think Murphy would be a good fit, but the price is undoubtedly a 1st and I don't know if the Leafs do it (even though I think they should). As for Mayfield, he's a cheap upgrade over Holl, but he's not a massive upgrade and his "cheapness" expires at the end of the year, so I worry it would have to be an unreasonable overpay, which I hope they don't do (Foligno trade still haunts me - and I like Foligno).

So lets say 2024 1st + Voit? or would voit not even need to be added?

Voigt probably wouldn't need to be added; some Hawks fans will disagree and say the late 1st isn't enough but personally I think it is

A first-round pick might get it done, but I can see (given his reasonable contract and pretty good play) multiple teams offering a 1st. Adding a second asset might be what it takes to tip the balance.

Leafs certainly have the cap for Murphy. More obsession with other teams RHD.

Mayfield would cost a 1st+. The Chiarot and Savard trades are very good comparables. Mayfield is much cheaper and better than both of them.

Way too early to tell, their goaltending isn’t bad either, defensively is okay. Offensively needs a lot of work. The only lines that I liked is the second and fourth line that has only really been playing good
