Before the St. Louis fans get here, I am just asking why you believe this move is beneficial for the Blues?

Leaf fans don't care about other team's perspectives. It's all about improving the Leafs.

what more could he get than a B prospect and first? Kerfoot can get flipped for another mid pick too. They arent getting a top prospect for him. He is gonna get what Giroux got

Cute trades, but you remain over the cap by $3M, even with prorating, sending down 2 guys at 750k might not do it.

Jackets will half retain on Gavrikov for a 23 first and third minimum. Especially if you are dumping holl

I know you didn't mean to contradict yourself, but you did,

Giroux got a 1st, a 3rd and a former 1st rd pick in Tippet.

Tippet was a pretty decent prospect, and already a vet of 87 NHL games at that point. (and who currently has 5 points in 7 games so far)

Abruzzese is a lesser prospect than Tippet was.

Kerfoot does give them the possibility of a flip, but, lets be honest, if someone wanted Kerfoot, they would trade for him on their own, not go through St-louis.

The biggest issue here is, poor ROR, gets shipped to Toronto and his linemates are Engvall and Jarnkrok.....

Tippett was not seen as anything close to a good prospect lmaoooooo what

Tippett was widely viewed as a bust and someone who is no more than an average bottom six player. Tippet was about to turn 23, Abruzzese is gonna be like 7/8 months older or so at the time of the trade and has similar value.

But again, Tippett was not traded with the idea that he was ever going to be a top prospect or a top six guy. Lets not pretend like he was. Slightly better than Abruzzese? Sure. But not by much

EDIT:
For reference, Lias Anderson was on a similar track as Owen TIppett, was a center, was drafted higher and younger and was traded for the 60th OVR pick. So valuing TIppett above that is just wrong

Tippet had/has potential. I dont get the hate tbh. He’s better than Abruzzese by a wide margin and he has pedigree lol.

Abruzzese is the player Leaf fans like offering in trades so they don't have to trade Knies or Niemela. Give me your good player and I'll also keep my best prospects. It's totally fair. Oh and you can also retain half. That would be great.

The first is a good start. Kerfoot, if you want to say off-setting cap and re-flipped, fine. Need a better prospect than that however as Abruzesse is not the one to replace ROR, nor is he a big time prospect.

Counter arguments for those who will say ROR is off to a bad start, is washed, etc.... 2010-11 is the last time he had under 50 points while playing a full season (since everyone loves to say Kerfoot is a 50 point player even though he has eclipsed that mark once in his career). ROR is also a Conn Smythe winner, cup champion, selke winner, fantastic in the face off circle, and a captain.

Setting aside the lame offer, you really need to brush up on your percentages. Forty percent of 7.5M is not more than half of 7.5M, dude.

I am sure you think about other teams needs before the Wings when ever you post a trade eh? What a dumb statement

He's an avid Leafs Troll. A fair deal involving TO has to end with TO losing by a major amount. So in his mind O'Rielly a 32 year old rental who will not be resigned will be worth 2 firsts, Knies, Niemela and probably Nylander as well. Why? Because it has to be brutal to be fair.

Yeah maybe if Gavrikov could defend. Him and the entire blueline is hot garbage at defending. Werensky is good but the rest are just very below average.

Then he's not worth it. He's a clear cut rental. Giroux didn't cost that much and he wasn't have as terrible a season as O'Rielly is having.
