What is Arizona gonna do with Boeser?... And why is Ottawa paying to take on more cap?

I don't see Jarmo jumping on that one. He would prefer to go after Bo Horvat and Miller needs a hefty extension before he considers moving Marchenko and the only uninjured defenseman on the roster.

Also, Jackets are going to out tank everyone until the last 10 games and then ruin it for themselves by going 9-0-1 as they always do.

If Bo w an extension are going to CBJ I’d like Jiricek…but this isn’t NHL 23 lol. Would the offer be the same/similar to the one I’ve made for Miller? If more/less, what’s the difference?

Jackets have no interest in miller but I think jarmo would be interested in horvat extended. I could see roslovic, peeke, and a late first from Gavrikov being traded being a starting package

I think it would be similar if not slightly better as long as the extension is the same since Horvat is a couple years younger and fits the rebuild timeline better. I think the extension cap hit drives what's coming back for the most part.

I'm not sure if Jiricek would be going back as Jarmo probably deemed him untouchable, but I think Jarmo would let Denton Mateychuk be available who is an upgrade in value to Peeke. Marchenko has been a bit of a special project for Jarmo trying to pry him out of Russia for the past couple years so I doubt he moves him as well. I would expect to something like a roster player, a top prospect, a high round pick and some kind of sweetener. So maybe Mateychuk, Roslovic, the Jackets 2nd rounder (hopefully the 33rd overall pick) and either Winnipeg's 4th or Calgary's 3rd rounder. I think Roslovic is the weak point in this trade, but he fills that #2 center position down and he probably needs a change of scenery. He looked poised to take the #1 center position late last year, but certainly has been a liability trying to do too much with the puck this year.

2nd round picks are worth any other year's late 1st rounders this year. The Jacket's first rounder is looking like it's either Fantilli or Bedard and the value for that pick is going to be absurd if someone wants it, practically untouchable.

Detroit isn't trading first round picks this year. If Horvat wants to play for his childhood favourite team then he will sign in the offseason. That first round pick is likely a lottery pick as well so no chance on that or next year's first. Detroit wants to add draft picks this year not trade any away.
