Why would the Leafs trade Knies + a 1st and 2nd for a rental lmao? Klingberg wouldn't even be worth that if he had 3 years left on his deal.

Too much, in my humble opinion. I'd be satisfied with the 2023 first and the second, or the first and Topi Niemela, but even the first and Knies seems a little rich.

Far be it from me to look a gift horse in the mouth, but damn, that's an overpay.

Maybe if the deal is done Jan 1 its a bit more justifiable since you'll get 30+ games instead of a dozen before the playoffs, but still.....
