That’s not a mammoth trade. Think about what you’d want for Dahlin and then increase it because of how incredibly bad our defense would be without Hughes

Vancouver wins, Centers are infinitely more valuable than small purely offensive dmen. Cozens is just better regardless

Only this year. Hughes has easily been better since they started their career.

L take. A 2C and a mid first doesn’t get you a franchise d man. This isn’t a mammoth trade

hughes is a great dman. Not franchise. That term is thrown around too lightly

Dahlin is not a franchise d man then. Those 2 are in the same tier of Elite I guess. I’m fine with that

not the point of this post.

Then what is the point? If you want Hughes, it will take a mammoth offer to acquire him. This isn’t a mammoth offer. Canucks lose

Quinn started his career at 20, two years older than dahlin. Dahlin is just plain better skill wise and defensively.

This is going to be controversial, but I don’t think Quinn Hughes is one of the top three defenseman from that draft. I think Dahlin, Dobson, and Miller are all better than Hughes and Durzi is closing in on him fast.

A point per game 2 way 21 year old center and likely a top 15 pick for a luxury model tyson barrie? Looooooool

I think both teams decline honestly. Sabres need a 2C a lot more than they need another top pair LD, and Canucks need a top pair Ld a lot more than they need a 2C.

Maybe in the first 30 games this season 😂. He isn’t in the same tier as guys like Makar, Fox, Hedman, McAvoy. Hughes and Dahlin are in the same tier

There is no way you just considered Miller and Durzi. Neither of them have had nearly the same impact as Hughes. Laughably bad. I’ve respected you on here before but that is just shocking

I’d actually put Dahlin in that tier tbh. And I’d probably take Hedman out based on his play this year.
