I would rather trade Beau and play JGP out of position if need be. Pageau brings so much more to this team than Beau does. He's worth his contract

Your theory "Pageau to any team" probably is just a hope. He has M NTC, so that eliminates teams with cap. And what playoff team wants a 5m 3rd centre without giving back equal cap.

Pageau has been pretty bad this season. Pageau should be traded regardless if they trade Beau.

I appreciate what Pageau has done for the isles in the playoffs, but he’s not getting any younger and 5 mill is a lot for him when they need to make room for Raty.

He has a good reputation around the league, wouldn’t be surprised if a team used him as a 2C. In the offseason I have no doubt they can find a taker

My main issue with Pageau is that his line wins puck battles and then immediately gives it back. I feel like they dump and chase a lot which doesn’t accomplish anything.

He’s a good player, it’s just not smart business to keep him at 5 mill per with Raty needing a spot.

I agree He’s not a great possession player. Wins faceoffs and then gives it to the opposing team. He used to be better in that aspect of the game

I wonder if a different strategy from lambert would get better results tbh.

I never would’ve noticed his possession issues if u hadn’t pointed it out.

Holmstrom has masked some of those issues, Pageau without Holmstrom has been an adventure

You’re not going to get a better package than dufour and a 1st or Raty and a 2nd. Good luck

Dufour overrated, we will take our business elsewhere

He’d be your 2nd best wing prospect (by far)

The sabres have no right shot d depth. And their roster is incredibly soft. Lyubushkin is not a guy they should be moving at all. I won't be surprised if a gm offers something they have to say yes to, but it won't be a 5th. No gm wants to get softer going into the playoffs.

yea i’m in on Dufour (but he would be the 3rd best forward prospect on the sharks behind Bordeleau and Eklund)
and Bolduc is pretty solid LD and his size excites me.
add the picks and I’m in on this deal. and yea Raty would mean we either get the 25 1st or a 23 2nd.

Sabres have 0 reason to do that. They've struggled with d depth all year, signed Lybushkin for 2 years, and like him. It would take a stupid over pay for Buffalo to even consider it and even then it's 50/50
