they dont need schenn they have back up D, it would be nice to get a 3rd C. I dont think you get Domi for a 2nd with retention.

Chicago isn't sending back a 4th and a 5th rounder, not with 1/2 retained. I'd argue Domi at 1/2 retained may land more then just a late 2nd.

Furthermore, he's not a 4th liner and not a 3rd liner for those few teams that run their defensive line on the 3rd line versus 4th line like the Leafs. He's offensively better then Kampf, Engvall and Kerfoot and while I understand you're creating a defensive line for the 3rd, it's probably better to have 2 defensive players with one speedy offensive player versus all 3 more defensive.

I'd also not be playing Hartman in the top 6 over Domi while moving Nylander from his natural role. Much better to keep Nylander on the right, add Domi to the left, and move hartman down to the bottom 6

Unfortunately there's not a chance that Minnesota lets him go. With their cap problems and the way Hartman fits their system, he's one of their most valuable pieces outside of Kaprizov

Agree with everything you said, but I’d add the Wild will need to move out a guy or two that are currently in the top 9 next year and everything has a price. I’m not saying a 1st for Hartman is that price, but it’s in the territory where you absolutely have to think about it.

I agree with both but I think Hartman becuase so much more valuable to the wild starting next year as the cap problems and probably having to let Gaudreau leave because we can't afford him. I get every player has a price but it would have to be the biggest over payment ever for the wild to do it. This would have a lot to do with (my opinion) rossi not staying or producing this year. with that all said the only thing I disagree with you about is the wild having to move out 1 or 2 top 9 players. Gaudreau and steel are both ufas and could quite possible both price them selfs out.

I don’t think Gaudreau or Steel cost more than 2 mil and the 4th liners cost more than 1.2. It’s simply a matter of deciding if they want Steel or Gaudreau or Hartman or Greenway. Pick 3.

Gaudreau I could see a team in free agency over paying alot for he's been steady pker. greenways (would of said not a chance of moving him but after the athletic article by russo yesterday about how many times greenway has been late or missing meeting) greenway could be gone. but as of not it has to be steel, Hartman, greenway. Shaw and dewar wouldn't be a mill.. dewar is still signed another year. so it's mainly Shaw

Steel is an RFA assuming they give him a QO. He turns 25 in about a month so he won't be a UFA until 2025.
