thats an easy decline by the Avs. Thats over paying for Hayes considering all the buyout chatter for him this summer

The “buyout chatter” isn’t even serious. We’re not buying out a guy who is not only playing at a top-6 level but is also one of the most highly regarded locker room guys. I do remember seeing the speculation like you did but pretty much everyone knows it won’t actually happen
