1.
VAN
  1. Armia, Joel
  2. Barron, Justin
Additional Details:
Seems like Canucks are anxious to call former 1st rounders like Beauvilier 1st round value. According to Alvin, they got 3 1st round picks yesterday. Here's another former 1st. Take advantage of this incompetent management team
2.
MTL
  1. Blueger, Teddy
  2. 2023 2nd round pick (PIT)
PIT
  1. Monahan, Sean ($3,187,500 retained)
3.
MTL
  1. Heinola, Ville
  2. 2024 2nd round pick (WPG)
WPG
  1. Edmundson, Joel ($1,750,000 retained)
4.
MTL
  1. Boqvist, Jesper
  2. Casey, Seamus [Reserve List]
  3. 2023 1st round pick (NJD)
NJD
  1. Anderson, Josh
Additional Details:
Anderson on pace for another 20 goal season. Lebrun already stated that Hughes has refused a 1st for Anderson. It's going to take more for this type of player. Whomever loses out on Meier will circle to Anderson. A late 1st +young roster player+ok prospect is the demand. This is the low end on a return so don't bother with tired analytics argument and your feelings when reports have been out there for anyone to read.

I remember hearing the same about Gaudreau in free agency. Just sign Johnny Hockey, easy solution. Don't worry about any other team! You have to actually win the Meier sweepstakes. Playing the Devil's advocate at every level isn't an answer. Just like this lame argument of nitpicking Josh playmaking ability with 5 assists. Literally, everyone knows he's not a playmaker but continue focusing on that to build your own narrative when the pundits like Seravelli and Lebrun say otherwise. Its kinda pathetic.

Freidman said Devils were the frontrunners for Meier

Even if we miss out on Meier, Boeser, Reinhart, JVR, Bertuzzi are all better and most likely cheaper than Anderson

Whats pathetic is tryna convince everyone that Anderson is the next Gretzky💀

He's not a playmaker. He's also not a goalscorer (T-95th for goals). He's just a pretty bad hockey player, and the Devils, with a smart analytics team who have a large say in decisions, will not be paying a price even remotely this large for a 4th liner.

He is well on pace to score 20 plus on a crappy non playoff team!
Put him on a stronger team with depth up front and the guy might score 30!

Yes that is exactly what is said. He's Gretzky despite acknowledging his flaws. I rest my case. Pathetic.

a first, B+ prospect, bottom 6 NHLer, and 5M are /totally/ worth that "might"

Fun fact. if Josh Anderson were to score 30 goals this year and maintain his assist pace, he would still not break 0.5ppg! just a single 0.5 ppg season in his whole career. or is that too advanced a stat?

Yea and Nate Bastian might score 20 next to Jack Hughes for 10% of the cost, plus Bastian comes with the ability to play defense

I went to check Anderson's stats to see if he was indeed on pace for 20g and laughed out loud when I saw 14g 3a lmfao

What a bad hockey player.

Why score many point when 17 point do trick?

Dumping Anderson with half retention would cost a top 5 2023 1st?

Devils don’t take bad cap. Even when we stunk and were collecting picks and prospects, we didn’t take cap dumps.

Further, Anderson is wholly unfit for how NJD plays and would be relegated to 4th line role, which is now occupied by Nate Bastian. Our strength is our speed, transition, possession. Anderson is big and fast, but wouldn’t play Burnette’s East-West game. He is a North-South player. Only our 4th line plays a dump and chase style. And Miles Wood, who is similar style player, is the straight-line burner we already have to chase.

So, yes, NJD passes on Anderson

I heard the Canadiens were interested in Andreas Johnsson

They should offer up their 2023 first and Lane Hutson

Difference is there are rumors from hockey insiders about Anderson to NJ. Can't blame people for making ACGM about rumors they heard.

We're going on six months of regular Anderson to the Devils posts on here. Every single time, the Devils fans have to say that they're not interested at a quarter the proposed price, and the Habs fans keep going. At some point it really doesn't matter what the insiders say, it's time to get some new material.

There's a new insider every week or so linking Anderson to NJ. Can't blame people for reading those articles and make ACGM about them. Are those insiders clickbaiting? Probably.

Or maybe where there's smoke there's fire. NJ need a RW and they need to get bigger. Maybe they'd rather add a physical 20 goal scorer instead of a 2-way 30 goal scorer like Meier.

Are you comparing Josh Anderson with his one 20 goal season to Timo Meier…? They are very different players. Timo Meier is a 1st line winger in NI, and one of the team’s top producers. Josh Anderson would come into NJ as one of the least productive players on a 4th line They’re not comparable

You are asking for a Horvat type return. Garland isnt a center for one which limits his value. 2 he is not having a career year! Just go look at any Garland ACGM tell where someone is offering a RHD top prospect like Justin Barron?

Haters going to hate.

Had an ACGM last year where I undervalued Lekhonen, Chiarot and Kulak returns while not one positive comment in the thread. More of the same. Cant wait to bump. It will be fun for a day. Haters go into their holes and then unfortunately remerge. I can post their names but they simply will flag the comment and thread will be deleted. Real people.

No clue what his value is anymore. You are correct. He had a broken foot, he should be back already. This smells like he played on the broken foot and aggravated his hip issues.

Definitely not comparing Anderson to Meier. Of course Meier is way better and Anderson would be a lot cheaper.

Dreger linked Anderson to NJ. He's not a MTL reporter. Probably could find a few others if i really looked into it.

Seravelli, Lebrun. Really not posting those again. They've been reporting it for months like the other poster wrongly theorized. Just cause it hasnt happened yet doesnt mean it wont anytime soon. Where there is smoke, there is fire. I actually dont think he gets moved til the offseason because of cap concerns moving forward. The hard cap is making any move difficult at this point. The rumours wont go away because there are more in the know people than Montreal reporters pushing this! Fans getting angry at something they cant control is always funny. Like somehow these capfriendly users dictate New Jersey Devils player movement. 'We said NO!!'

Anderson would definitely cheaper, but absolutely still not worth the cost, given he’s not a good hockey player and all.

I figured there was something newer than Dreger from back in November/December

Frank and Pierre last linked them in the summer, right?
Since then Montreal beats have driven the story into the ground. Frank definitely has NJ sources, but I’m skeptical about anything that comes from Pierre’s mouth. And even then, the cost here doesn’t line up with market value, when Josh Anderson, who has been proven here to be a less than adequate addition to the team, would cost what Timo Meier and elite winger will cost to trade for

The thing about NJ’s reluctance is it’s no secret that the analytics department has a very very large role in the decision making progress for any moves the team makes, and while Josh Anderson is scoring goals right now, his underlyings have been largely atrocious consistently
