The Armia one if interesting because the Habs could buy him out at almost the same price but if Puljuajrvi passes through waivers, maybe there is a fit.

I mean Broberg is the Oilers best prospect. Tough to see you get better than a late 1st as Gavrikov will be going to a contender. Broberg certainly is better than a late 1st. Bemstrom would be a good AAV to fill the bottom half of the roster next year on a capped out team in 2023-24

I get you but Barrie has been really good this season and Broberg is also playing regular minutes. You guys arent exactly setting the world on fire and both players would help insulate your team out in the immediate future.

To me its a massive overpay. Gavrikov should get a late 1st which is maybe. Broberg looks like at worst a lower end top4 with a lot of upside. You guys have a ton of upside players but none are guaranteed. I dont see the harm in adding more lottery tickets.

With this trade Broberg will be our 2D, and probably still or 3D for the future. With Werenski being offensive leaning, and Denton being an offensive force, we still need a big LD that can play consistent and stifling defense. Svozil reminds me of Werenski, and he was still getting walked at the WJC. Everybody else LD is lower than Broberg now. Our RD is even more crowded than LD. There's a reason the Oilers trade rumors have died down, because he is starting to play good.

You’re dreaming. The Oilers were scouting him hard and walked away because he didn’t impress. He’s not worth more than a B prospect and mid round pick.

The only possible trade out of these is the Montreal trade. It’s one thing to move your best prospects but only for quality players. These trades are not the quality you need in return.
