Description
Toews and Kane are a couple of rentals
A sort of filling that isn’t quite dental
Maybe send ‘em to the place they’re from
Execute the trade, the results will come
Mason Appleton
Chicago’s cap-a-tain
Perhaps that’s the start, but it ain’t the end thing
Nikkanen and a first-round pick gets you retention
For Kane, receive Okposo, he’s so-so, so you can flip him for picks
Got a first-round pick for retention, the age of them is equal in risk
This Kyle Okposo can go back to the Island that he came from
Maybe we get a second and third-round pick if we retain some

Winnipeg paying double the value for Toews? That may be generous in value with him out with an illness too.

Buffalo probably has no interest in moving Okoposo, and there would really be no need to have him included in the trade, so not sure why Chicago would want him. I don't think Buffalo will be going for any expensive rentals since they are currently out looking in, and as a team that's exiting a rebuild, there's no rush/pressure to make it this year. If they were to add him though via trade, should be a future 1st (2025) + a prospect or young player. I don't think Buffalo gives that though.

As for Winnipeg, they are better off trying to pursue Meier with that 2023 1st, that's too much to give for Toews.

Wouldn't give you a 1st for Kane straight up this year!! Especially with that hip and being able to just sign him in 5 months.

Absolutely zero reason for the Isles to do this.

Well perhaps i need to hear the flow but you shouldnt be aloud to post anymore. That "rap" is horrible. The one good thing i can say is most people dont even read descriptions so its only hurt a few. Killer Bea (8) had better lyrics.

That is an overpay for Toews. I doubt BUF has any interest in moving Okposo, the Isles probably have no interest in him either, and CHI definitely doesn't have interest in brokering that move. Although, a 1st + 2nd + 3rd is probably good enough for Kane, we also have to consider BUF's position in the standings. Currently they are 21st in the league, that is a pretty high pick that is worth significantly more than any of the late 1st round picks other teams have to offer. Then again, BUF could pretty easily move up the standings because it's still very close, as far as point totals.

A massive overpay for Toews, and I have heard Okposo loves it in Buffalo and will actually re-sign at the end of the year on a team friendly deal.

The stuff about his hip is overblown garbage. He is struggling this year for very obvious reasons that aren't related to his hip. And that is also if you consider a 60+ point pace "struggling".

That's fine if it's overblown, still not gonna give 1st for a player that I could sign in 5 months. If he even wanted to come Home.

Too much from Winnipeg, they should not be trading a 1st for a rental.

For sure. Doesn't exactly make sense for BUF, unless they want to load up and make a run this year, which they could do if they really wanted the standings are close enough and they wouldn't need much. But people perpetuating that narrative about Kanes hip just rubs me the wrong way. Literally all these people have to do is watch one or two CHI games and they will realize it has nothing to do with his "struggles" this season. The reason for his "struggles" is quite obvious. His hip issue has been public knowledge for years and it hasn't effected his play thus far. Dude misses 3 games for the first time in 7 years and everyone loses their minds about it. It's just people who want him throwing $h!t at the wall and seeing what sticks so that they can hopefully get his price down. Tarasenko has had WAAYYY more health issues through the years as recently as the last couple months, and he still brought back a 1st.
