More than okay with this contract, he's been a consistent D-man on an otherwise inconsistent defensive team. Plus you can put him on all lines. Solid signing

It's more like 2 mil for his defensive play and 1 mil for unlocking Hronek.

He's pretty good, he could've worked the AAV up. Good value but wrong move for the team. Yzermid strikes again after the awful free agent signings

You are allowed to play LHD on the right side. Edvinsson - Chairot 3rd pairing and keep the top 4 together.

Bottom pair defender that's been alright. Definitely an overpayment for what he is. I've been told by Detroit fans on twitter that he's Jesus himself and a steal though.

A good signing. It gives Wings certainly going into the summer. Without Maataa had gone as UFA, the Wings would have been scrambling to find a find a capable LHD at a fair price.

He has had one bizarre career. He looked like a great up and coming defenseman in Pittsburgh what feels like ages ago and lots have changed since. And I check and he's only 28?

Bertuzzi can take a hike, one of the worst skaters in league and his decision making at times is mind boggling. I applaud Lelonde for calling him out.

Probably the same if not slightly less than he would've made in FA. Voted yes, as it's a decent signing. If it doesn't work out, it's not long-term.

He's been a great fit for the Wings. You can't judge a player purely on analytics
