I like Schmaltz but that is a severe overpay. You can get a much better player for that package. Meier didn't even get that return.

Agree on the overpay.. issue I see with anything involving Arizona it’s gonna be a haul of draft picks and at least one top prospect. Have seen a lot of people willing to give up CMM Hendrix and Iorio for him as well. Definitely could find a suitable option for center like Pierre Luc Dubois?

Can't think of any reason for the Blues to do that.

Welcome to CapFriendly! Sometimes, it's not too friendly. And sometimes, it's not CapsFriendly.

I'll echo the two commenters above that you're overboard by a first in the Schmaltz deal.

I think that Colorado's cap situation (particularly the 100% raise to MacKinnon) would preclude the Kuznetsov trade. From what I see about their roster, they would need virtually any acquisition to be either an ELC or a cap-neutral deal.

Good luck and keep posting!

Honestly don't know how I feel about it, tbh...like, yes at face value there's a LOT there, I guess I just don't know why the Yotes would move him without getting an absolute haul? I get that they're a dumpster fire of an organization, but at some point you have to keep your good players, no?
