Description

Less interested in whether or not you would do it and more so if its a fair value trade overall.

Don't mind the lines and whatnot, I just filled the rest of the team out. Used Tankathon for players drafted by the way.

Also we're assuming that 1-4 is Bedard, Fantilli, Carlsson, Michkov. So you wouldn't get one of those guys with #5.

Some general values of moving up in the draft from historical trades for perspective:

Moving 26th and 37th value comparisons:
27th for 40th and 51st (CAR-NSH)
26th for 29th and 70th (DAL-CHI)

Moving 5th and 9th picks value comparisons:
7th for 9th and 40th (NSH-NYI)
5th for 7th, 37th, 68th (TOR-NYI)

I think If MTL wants Reinbacher as much as I read it online and they are certain that he will be there at 9. i think they will be incline to trade down as much fot the value I think its near

if they're high on reinbacher he may be taken at 5 as he's most likely gone before the Florida pick (If kept) just based on a team reaching for a need which is what mtl may do

Reinbacher might be gone at 9 due to canucks looking at him im pretty sure. and they also could move up to secure the RD.

The value is pretty fair, I guess. But I can't think of any reason the Blues would do this.

The value difference is bigger between 5th and 9th than 26th and 37th.

Even if you take away MTL 2nd, they still wouldn't do that with this prospect pool.

Too many teams are looking at Reinbacher to take that risk, If we drop from 5th Arizona, Philly and Detroit are all probably looking for a RHD and there is no guarantee St. Louis doesn't want to move up so they can take him.

IMO MTL a taking Bedard at 1, Fantilli 2, Carlsson 3, Michkov at 4 & Will Smith at 5. I could see then taking Reinbacher at 6 tho

By most valuations of draft picks, the Blues would need to add a high 2nd for the pick value to be equivalent. That said, I don't see why Montreal would consider this.

I've been following the Habs pretty closely, and have seen nothing from a legitimate source that Montreal wants Reinbacher.
