No penguin fans. Stop. The sabres aren't bailing you out of that contract.

If NSH manages to make the playoffs after being sellers this year, and Saros' performance last season, there's no way they move him, they don't have another option ready to take over.

There are at least 20 teams that would offer more than that for Saros.

They'd keep Saros and move Lainkenen.

Nashville easily passes on the Saros trade.

And Detroit isn't giving up the 72nd overall pick for a bottom pairing RD in Jan Rutta.

You know there's 30 other teams you can trade with. Detroit isn't the only team in the NHL.

They aren't going to get anything to help rebuild the team moving forward by trading Lainkenen

We have 13 draft picks in this years draft, along with a top 12 prospect pool. We'll be okay.

Walman/Seider
Maatta/Chiarot
Edvinsson/????
Lindstrom (Johansson)

Upgrade? Sure. Dire need? Hardly. Yzerman will sign a UFA Defenseman on July 1st. Done.

Vegas isn’t doing that and if that’s all it takes for Barbashev he’ll be staying in vegas with probably an additional year

We have 13 draft picks in this years draft, along with a top 12 prospect pool. We'll be okay.

The Predators have no elite young players and 9 of those 13 picks are 3rd round or later. Odds are only 2 of those picks will ever even play in an nhl game let alone be difference makers

He is an ahl all star and likely the top goalie prospect in the world. Once Nashville is officially eliminated he will likely get a couple more nhl games at the end of the year to get his feet wet at the nhl level

What..?

5 of our prospects were drafted in the first round. Kemell, Svechkov, Askarov, Schaefer, L'Heureux.

Along with Tomasino, who has 17pts in 24 games right now.
Evangelista, drafted in the second, has 12 in 17.

We don't need your charity of "preds have no elite young talent", because we have tons of it.

He's 20. Goalies need time to develop. We're not rushing him because other teams are interested in Saros lmfao

Detroit passes. We could have signed Rutta last year and declined to. Not interest in giving up a pick for him.

I wouldn't argue that the offer is lacking and needs to better to obtain Saros, but to say the preds have lots of elite young talent is laughable
