Detroit should definitely trade Rasmussen for that offer, But Yzerman is extremely high on him. So he's not getting moved anytime soon.

If he moved Hronek for what he did he's definitely trading a winger for that.

There were rumors of Allvin/Rutherford wanting both Rasmussen and Hronek for Bo Horvat, If that truly was the case. Than Yzerman should've taken that and ran. At least our 1C and 2C would've been solidified for the foreseeable future.

That Pit pick is probably low 20s. Rathbone appears to be bottom pairing and I have no idea on the other guy. Unless he has top 4 floor, Detroit doesn't need him as a LD; even still the Wings already have 3 LD with top 4 floors and top pairing ceilings.

Would I trade a big,young, bonafide top 9 multi role player for a pick in tbe 16-22 range, who won't be ready for 2-3 years at best? No. The Wings would be lucky if they got another Rasmussen at that pick range. Rasmussen has gotten significantly better each season. I'm not sure when or where he plateaus, but I'd bet a small wager that he becomes a regular 60 point player who gets Selke consideration in his mid to late 20s.

Yet again. Only way Nucks get Carlo is if Boston gets Elias. So simply put…not happening.

From a logistics standpoint - Boston is loaded with wings and short on RD. So even if moving Carlo was a thing, this does not work for them at all.

Vancouver fans seem to think other teams are just willing to deplete their weakest positions to add to their strongest just to help Vancouver 🙄. Erik Cernak, Brandon Carlo etc.

It’s not that Miller isn’t good it’s his contract.
Why would BOS trade a top 4 RHD for a winger where BOS is loaded.

To move Granlud out of town, it will likely cost a 3rd, MAYBE a 2nd. He's not a bad player and based on all the other contracts teams paid to move last year, a 3rd seems about right.

I bring this up that while I don't think the Pens deal is THAT far off, if you're taking two firsts, you'll have to retain around $1.5 Miller's contract.
