Canucks easily decline. Dumbest idea ever for Vancouver, smartest ever for Pittsburgh. Vancouver isn't giving you Demko for free.

So the pens take on 4 bad contracts to get rid of 1 that would be better to buy out and we also give up a cheap 2nd pair dman, a goalie prospect, a young top 9 forward prospect who is one of our top prospects, and two cheap 3rd pair dmen. That’s an awful trade for the pens. Just buyout Granlund, keep the assets, and don’t take the bad contracts back.

did I say they were all bad?

They're getting one of the best goaltending prospects in hockey, a great young D man with control left, AND the part that is best for them, clearing close to 7 million... thas fair return for a goalie who is rumored to want out anyway. Not saying its a slam dunk but it is certainly not terrible.

Demko: great value contract
Garland: worth his contract
Myers: only one year left and retaining half which doesn’t even make it that bad
Pearson: likely to be on LTIR next season

did not know pearson was out all year, Demko is not bad that was what they would pay us for a top goalie prospect, a great young D man, and clearing 7 mill...

https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/canucks-demko-denies-he-wants-out-of-vancouver-aims-to-return-saturday/ So he's never wanted out that was a media thing, We have no reason to trade Demko for a goalie prospect, Demko when on his game is a top 10 goalie in the league, no need to move him for so little, Pearson is out all year and Garland's deal is fine so i am not sure how then pens are taking 7mill here as you have Myers retained at 50% which would intern be a fine contract, You have us taking on over 8mil in dead cap, no reason what so ever for the canucks to do this and it's not even close

There is no top goaltending prospect, no great young D man, and Canucks are barely clearing any cap here. This is a terrible ACGM which you put 0 effort into.

The so called “top goalie prospect” is a 24 year old who put up a below .900 SV% in the AHL this season. Even without Demko the Canucks decline. Garland alone has more value to them than that package. We already have too many LHD, so no need for POJ. Granlund is just bad. Rutta doesn’t add much. Ruhwedel and the prospects add very little
