Canucks aren't paying a 3rd for a backup goalie

Yeah, Buffalo is not giving away Casey Mittelstadt for a pile of garbage.

I’d do Ruhwedel, Poehling and a 3rd for Casey M.

I'm not, and probably never will be a mittelstadt fan. Having said that, there's really nothing in that package that we need. Things we need/could use- a couple defensive d with size, bonus points if they are physical. We need a veteran goalie who can split time with Levi, not a saros, demko, hart type splash, just an adult that gives us a chance to win when Levi gets the night off. We could probably use a defensive center that can win a faceoff and maybe help on the pk. And we could use another power forward, got a lot of small skilled forwards coming. Again, I'm totally good with moving mittelstadt, but it's gotta make sense.

I’d like to keep him too but I’d trade him before Nylander.

Sullivan won't play rookies. I agree that I would love to see Puusstinen, Poulin, Nylander etc. play but it won't happen. Not with Sullivan.

You'd rather have Poehling who does pretty much nothing than Mittelestadt? I have been pretty hard on Mitts but he has more points than Poehlin has games played this season

I don't see the point of trading Mitts for a 2nd and a couple of bums

That just doesn't seem logical. At least Mitts provides something to the team. Poehlin literally is just out there for cardio. Not good offensively OR defensively

14 points in 53 game with just OK defensive analytics. Seriously, you rather that over Mittlestadt who had 59 points this season? If so, you are a huge homer

That's a terrible trade for VAN, a 3rd for a guy who's probably gonna get waived? Wth???

If Imagine thinks Mittelstadt's current season is a mirage, then it makes sense. Points per game wise, he hasn't been that different than Poehlin before this year. I don't think it's being a Homer to think Mitts is playing over his head and Poe hasn't reached his potential yet.

Not saying I agree but it's totally understandable.
