Would rather mesar than Farrell tbh. If that makes it better can struble be swapped with some other asset as jets don't have a need for lhd

It could be mesar instead of Farrell.

A value struble like a 3rd round pick , so yes you could swap for a prospect valued like a 3rd

Signing NCAA players and immediately shipping them to Winnipeg is a good way to make sure NCAA players don't sign with Montreal again.

Well.. that’s only one case … I can’t see that being a problem with ncaa players .

Getting Bedard makes a Dubois trade unlikely. We have the young pre-Hughes players, the Slaf/Dach draft, and then the Bedard, RHD, Hrabal? draft. That's a very solid core of players to supplement with vets and young reinforcements for the foreseeable future.

I agree that if we get Bedard , Dubois could be a luxury , a bit like Tavares .

How's that working out for Toronto who might finally get out of the first round.

There needs to be a lot better prospects added to the first in the Dubois trade. A couple of unneeded C level prospects don't add any value.

I think Bedard would be better at wing with a big center like Dubois, but i agree a trade would be unlikely because with Bedard, i'd be 100% sure Dubois would sign with MTL as a UFA in 2024.

Like you said, if we got Bedard earlier, just draft the best RHD at 17 to fill another need. I don't mind drafting Hrabal at 37, but he won't be NHL ready before 4-5 years.
