Bruh it deleted my whole description. Sad end really up and down though the year but expectations into the season were about similar. Not going to rebuild or double down but a retool most likely. Change is needed and hopefully into the offseason we can see some change along side good additional seasons from our major guys this year. I know the game isn't over but really don't think jets score 5 goals.

On twitter, Jets fans are pretty much asking for a full rebuild.

Yeah thats just a terrible idea we can't afford to fully tear it down lol it just doesn't make sense to completely do that and they are just frustrated but lack thinking of the process it would set forth

They are wrong you do realize a rebuild could be the difference between being competitive in 1-3 years to 10 years plus. Also with the market the jets are in does a rebuild really help the team with the ability of relocation.

Took 10 years to find top 2 centers, they haven’t drafted anybody decent since laine, nobody is coming via free agency to move the line, I don’t see the blockbuster that pushes the line back to competitive, just wastes primes. Need a front office renovation, change out Chevy and mix in some more size throughout lineup and hopefully more skill, stack up some talent instead of waiver wire guys being better than the draft picks over and over. Jets aren’t going anywhere, basically make their downtown investment worthless if they don’t have their lost leader downtown. Can Chevy can zinger and rebuild from the top and let the new guy decide, can’t exactly sell low or fire sale, but time to make some tough decisions.

Jets won’t be able to replace Dubois, Scheifele and Hellebuyck nor are those guys sticking around.

Would the fan base support the team? Sure it may be best for creating a better team in the future but ticket sales and earnings are key components in the decision-making process as well.

Outsider looking in all the foundational pieces are there and there are some very talented prospects in the pipeline. Honestly add a few more forwards to increase depth and this team is a legit playoff contender

Fanbase is frustrated and pissed that the team seems to want to point fingers at everybody but themselves, time to come clean and let the fanbase know that your making a change, freezing any increase in there costs until there’s a playoff team again, and tell the fanbase that your changing out gm/assistant gm and hope that they can have some patience and restart the 5 year plan. Jets need to draft better, vaselainen/stanley/heinola/possibly perfetti all 0fer, need a nucleus then still stock them with backup. Jets need to start thinking as a junior team but with a 7/8 year window instead of 4 years, create a nuclues over 3/4 years and then push all in for 3/4 years and sell off and do it all again. Just an opinion, I just want the squad to win the last possible game of the season one time In my lifetime.

Yeah thats why a rebuild is so overkill. A retool trading out some guys but keeping likes of Connor, ehlers Morrissey, Lowry etc. No need to tear it all down we got unlucky in a way with losing guys but also just not good enough

The better assets get the better returns, obviously you don’t want a team of draftpicks and need some veterans sprinkled among the kids, but some of the guys with the most team friendly contracts have to be in the conversation, because they will bring the greatest returns, and also be depreciating as a asset. Little older and a little less term and the return is less. Can Chevy is my only request, find a good replacement and see where the new guys direction goes, got to draft better, bottom line no trades will help without drafting better. Team has to get a persona back, team hasn’t been the same since buffy shut it down.

How do Jets fans feel about their prospect pool? Top of my head is Lucius, McGroarty, and Lambert and then if you count Perfetti and Heinola/Samberg/whoever else is being blocked at LD. Seems like a few pieces but maybe not stars?

Personally I think they’re in desperate need of some help on defence. Legitimate top 4 guys, especially on the right side. Pionk can be your 2RD and Demelo your 3Rd but who’s your 1? And Morrissey is clearly great but past him on the left is pretty meh even though I don’t mind any of those guys on their own, as a unit they just aren’t good enough. If they could draft some on the backend and trade the likes of Dubois etc for either some decent picks or prospects to help on D, then they can still compete with this core. Keep Connor, Morrissey, Lowry and I think resign scheiffele as your foundational guys. Consider moving Helly and Ehlers + Dubois out of force. Will be a few year retool but I don’t think they’re much worse than what they were this year if they do that. Not a playoff team but not bottom 10 either

Chipman has let Cheveldayoff run the team for 12 years and the return has been two series wins in 2018 and one series win in 2021.

What is Chipman's vision for this team in the medium term, aside from the clumsily worded background material to the season ticket drive video?

Could you imagine Heisinger having to answer questions about Graham James? (He avoids those questions when the Freep asks them).

Quite a rise from equipment manager of the wheatkings lol, definitely promoted up to the utmost level of incompetence, jets need a swing, let mcrimmon right through there fingers and get to Vegas, not sure if he would have the success he is having without the draw of Vegas and budget, but has to be a few guys kicking around the right fit to take on jets job.

With the new layout if you don't hit the save button after typing in a description it removes the whole thing, probably what happened

In the unlikely event that there are sweeping changes in management, I think Simmons is probably the guy to retain. He has done a good job with the cap and contracts.

Just watched Bowness' presser calling out the top players. Wow. If Chevy wants to "run it back" with the same players it will be without Bowness, in my opinion.
