Fat chance i see Connor Hellebuyck signing long term with Pittsburgh, Crosby and Malkin will be retiring within 3 years. And then that team is total trash. He'll more than likely come home to Detroit on a young up and coming Red Wings team to mentor Sebastian Cossa.

Detroit would take that and run, But sadly Kyle Connor would cost us far more than this OP.

If the pens don't win the lotto and move into the top 5 that is a no brainer (as long as he signs an extension)

Because the Wings have the Islanders 1st rounder, I would accept that deal if I was Detroit with one change. The 2024 1st would be the lower of the two picks (Detroit / Boston).
