Description
A little weak on the right side up front, maybe can add 2nd line skill at deadline.

Dubois is the only option available to get an impactful player for Marner instead of just prospects and picks. Strong competitive centre.

Clean up the right side of the D with Mayfield and Taney to create a better mix with better pairs.

All new additions add serious competitiveness.

You're trading Marner for a player who wants to be a Hab? Bert already turned down 5 years/6 mil AAV from Detroit. His price just went up after scoring 10 points in 7 playoff games for Boston.

Jets fans will rip on you and I doubt Dubois wants to play in Toronto.

Leafs are unlikely to make a trade with a divisional rival, and Liljgren is better imo.

Brodie Tanev flip is unecessary, they are the same player basically, waste of a draft pick.

Calle just got here. Would look bad on management if they moved him out after one year.

I think he’d be a perfect fit behind Matthews and would be down for it. Plays hard, puts up points but won’t be expected to put up 80-90.

Tanev shoots right, Schenn was the only right shot who could actually play on top 4.

True, any chance of moving Tanev though? Always liked his game. Maybe a different trade would work, and Brodie goes somewhere else

Would rather trade Dubois elsewhere for futures then trade him plus other pieces for a guy that likely has no interest in sticking around so they're just trading Marner in a year or two, just a pointless move for Winnipeg.

Fair, maybe they don’t get a better offer though. Take Marner instead of a couple picks, see what you can do with him after a year

Jarnkrok is a 3rd line player. He is not paid to put up the big numbers in the playoffs. Can't expect a point per game in the playoffs from someone who shouldn't be in your top 6.

If Matthews signs elsewhere in UFA next summer then you're going to want Little Mitchy piling up the points in Toronto.

But McGroarty was a 1st, Lowry has value plus a future 2nd, the best they'd get for Marner would be a 1st, good prospect and some other miscellaneous stuff, add it all up and they're no further ahead, just seems pointless for the Jets imo.

A Trade for Tanev is certainly a possibility, but the Flames have no need or interest in Brodie

We’d be looking for a 2023-1st-BOS + Jarnkrok + either Timmins, Abruzzese or Lafferty

Otherwise Liljegren straight up

Jets pass on marner at 11 Mill they'd just offer Dubois 11m *8 if they wanted an 11 million dollar player
