Promptly make 7 VERY un-Tulsky moves...

Dude, Tulsky is the ultimate bargain bin shopper. That means no Orlov, no Severson, no Bertuzzi, no Killorn. He's going to find you guys like Daniel Sprong in Seattle, not tie the franchise into several anchors

If the Jetta trade Helly n d Ehlers then they are going full rebuild and would not be looking for rentals so I don't see them interested in Nylander.

I don't see the Kraken interested in Brodie, they tend to like bigger more defensively minded guys. I think it's going to be hard for the leafs to move Brodie's contrat without retaining or adding a sweetener.

Not enough value there for either jet player. No chance that offer is considered for both. Toronto really has nothing available that Winnipeg would want.

Columbus and Winnipeg pass big time.

Detroit offered Bertuzzi 4 x $6,000,000 and he said no. Try more like 7 x $6,500,000.

You're totally delusional if you think that Marner gets you Jircek and Leo Carllson. Jarmo would totally laugh at that offer.

What an absolutely HORRIBLE idea for the Blue Jackets that Columbus trade is. Seven or more seasons of two franchise players is better than two seasons of Mitch Marner, who probably isn't getting Columbus into the playoffs in either one. But those two prospects will be maturing in time to start making Columbus serious contenders three or four years down the road, and their window should stay open for quite a while.

Oh and that’s the only Marner trade I’d do but Columbus would be idiots to do it.

Not enough for Marner? Do you know who those players are? It’s either Leo Carlsson or Michkov and Jiricek. A top RHD and a top line centre or winger for a top line winger is absolutely fair value.

I’m aware, Leafs aren’t rebuilding, need players right now

I understand that but the idea that the value isn’t enough is silly. It’s exactly what I’d want if we were rebuilding.

Absolutely right, which is why Tulsky will be our GM! Pittsburgh doesn’t spend money on the big names in free agency and builds around a winning team via various methods that don’t involve trading for super star players, overpaying on the trade market, and getting into bidding wars. Instead, we build from within, build from depth and acquire guys of our organizational system that the team is coached under. We build with a plan and strategic approach, hence where Tulsky fits right in with an analytical approach (of what FSG wants the team to take a direction of going forward) and won’t be another cluster**** of just “plug and play” management that Hextall did just throwing scraps into a fire and seeing what happens. Anyone could’ve predicted 85% of his moves wouldn’t have worked on this Penguins team. And just about anyone that knows 2 cents about Penguins hockey could’ve guessed right..

Hence why Hextall failed? He DIDN’T bring guys into the system that fit into our system of hockey. He didn’t enhance our “winning” hockey Penguins that JMGR DID despite his annual random trade or something fans didn’t see coming. But at the end of the day, he got the job done and exceeded expectations, Hextall failed them. And there’s a clear path between the 2 of who did right and who did wrong.

And that says a lot considering I didn’t think it could get worse after JMGR.

Is that Tlusty of Waddell? Barging shopping is a great thing though.

Tulsky. Tulsky made Nino for Rask happen, he made Pacioretty for futures happen, he's the analytical mind that spots guys like Jesper Fast, Jesse Puljujarvi, he's the one that turned Brady Skjei into someone that is going to get onto Norris ballots this year.
