Canucks pass. The minimal cap savings isn’t worth the big downgrade from Boeser to Dvorak

Take out Anderson and Stanley and change Harris to something Winnipeg needs.

Washington isn’t trading the 40th Overall pick just to move Mantha’s contract. The Caps would much rather just keep Mantha.

Gawd that'd be terrible asset management by the Caps if they did that.

Also get the position we need though. I'd do it.

I’d rather move Boeser for the best pick offered and sign someone like Rodrigues, Compher, Suter, or Kampf. Or try to trade for someone like Dellandrea, Hayton (those two are less likely to be available), Roslovic, or Sissons

Ya i doubt any team would take on Boeser for a draft pick. That is to say just 7 mil in cap space with none going out. Maybe Chicago if they want someone to play with Bedard. So most likely a Boeser trade will include money coming back. Also you don't have to sign long term deals like you often do with UFAs so that is a bonus.

Winnipeg would do that trade if you take out Anderson and throw in a 2nd or lesser prospect.

Not a big deal if Habs don’t sign him if they have Suzuki, Dach and possibly Smith down the middle in a couple years

That's what I don't understand, the middle will be solid even without Dubois so why chase him unless he's on an really friendly contract and doesn't halt internal progress because MTL has some solid center prospects.

He's like a Jamie Benn in both a good and bad way. Regardless MTL future looking bright!
