The Arvidsson disrespect on this site is unreal, the guy is a 25-30 goal scorer, how is a 3rd a fair offer?

Scuttlebutt is ROR and the Avs aren't a fit. Of the UFA options, Barbashev interests me the most, although not sure how much C he really plays...

Wouldn't want ROR for that term. COL should really explore adding Barbashev and Jesper Fast.

I like Manson and his game but he hasn't had a close to full season for 4 years. We pass just based on the uncertainty of the player.

Does anyone know what the Avs can and can't do with Ranta now that he's headed to Sweden. Pretty sure we still retain his rights, but can those still be traded?

It's more than just this site. Not a Kings fan, but I think Arvidsson has been one of the most underrated players for a long time... Back to his Nashville days even.

It will take more to get him. What's the story in LA in terms of what they're expecting or hoping for in return?

Yes. They can still trade his rights, but they are certainly less valuable... since he will be in Sweden for two years at least.

It's no disrespect. Reports are LA is looking to clear cap space and Arvidsson is a likely candidate. Value for wings in the offseason is low, especially when a team needs/wants to clear cap space. Similar deals from last summer show a range of value:

Pacioretty = free
Monohan + 1st round pick = free
Brown = 2nd round pick
Bjorkstrand = 3rd and 4th round picks

So trade value for Arvidsson should be somewhere around those 4 deals depending on how badly LA wants out of the last year of his contract. Obviously LA may choose to move someone else, but he was the name that has been dropped in media circles.

Maybe because buyers will have more leverage than LA will when it comes to selling Arvidsson. They're trying to dump cap to bring in a goalie I assume? Puts Kings in a tougher spot and it may favor trade partners.
