First of all if they are desperate for Ld they trade for Toews from COL giving up only Chytil. They are short on Rw.
To tell you the truth if they trade Laffy it will not be with WPG. I've seen better offers out there and Rw options.

WPG/DET I wasn’t very happy with tbh. I think in hindsight there’s a lot of better trades for Schiefele. I’m not surprised Jets fans are against trading Morrissey I def get it. I added the Dubois for the 5th overall because I saw a decent amount of mock trades from MTL media suggesting it, and DeBrincat went for a 7th. Like I said it would be a bad idea for MTL. Not sure the problem you see with the Toronto trade, if the Jets plan was to blow it up there’s no reason to not get a first round pick for taking on that contract for just one year

Yeah I’d be inclined to agree with this. Schiefele makes more sense elsewhere. If I were to keep the same teams involved, Morrissey to DET and Schiefele to NYR seems like it makes more sense although the Rangers need wingers not C’s

Meh, I'd disagree with Morrissey to DET. He'd be the best LHD we have right now, but we have Edvinsson and Wallinder in the pipeline. Both of those guys look to be, at worst, 2nd pairing guys. More likely they end up as top pairing quality defenseman.

If we just magically received Morrissey, sure, but don't think spending the assets for him makes much sense from Detroit's side.

Note... I did say the Toronto trade was "meh". That means to me... "whatever". It's not good or bad. Just whatever.
