That Leafs deal is interesting for sure, but they would struggle with the cap.

I would do this, if Murray and his contract were included. The cap would be a lot more manageable in that scenario.

I don’t like any of these deals lol. Leafs deal is awful value for the Flyers, TK deal not enough, Hart deal MTL declines, Oilers deal is an overpay by us, nobody wants TDA without retention, and I’m not helping the Pens for anything less than the 13thOA idc what the deal is

TOR deal: Robertson is getting close to bust (probably 5th at best among Flyers forward prospects and behind all the youngsters on the roster now) and Liljegren in his 5th season is not an established top 4 dman and was a healthy scratch for more than half of the playoffs, the two of them together and a 1st might get Provorov.

PIT: Carter is a cap dump and if you taking him and retaining 3mil for 3 yrs, a 1st is a horrible return

EDM: Yamamoto is small and not producing with Macdavid and Drasaitl, and an expensive RFA, no thanks

SEA: koneckny as a ppg player and the team pts leader the last 2 years on a team riddled with injuuries to their top 6 forwards and cant score is worth more than a late in the round 1st and a 2nd

Neither Laughton (bottom 6 player at $3Mx3) nor provorov (ok dman, but $6.75Mx2) are worth a 1st alone; combined maybe but two x meh is just more meh. To also give up Lili & Robertson for this pile of mediocrity is stupendously misguided imo

Certainly he is, by every metric but assists. Lilly can also defend. He is just coming into his own and with his cap hit the trade makes zero sense.
