Asking too much from Detroit. If that was Connor instead of Scheif, then yes.

Also, this WPG roster is now terrible.

Except for the fact that PLD only wants to play in MTL, and is a huge baby. And questionable upgrade, at best. Do not have the cap to sign him for one year.
Why do NYR do that? 🙄

Bruins can't afford to take on Wheeler 8mil, and wouldn't want to even if we could. Unless you send him to a bottom feeder as a cap dump, you aren't trading Wheeler without some hefty retention.

There are reports that he wont mind playing in a big market US city. Any big trade would inc an extension.

DET has no need for Hellebuyck with Cossa on the horizon, Husso here, and still in building mode. Especially with Helle wanting $9+m/year.

Ah yes, Detroit would love to stunt their rebuild so they can get two 30 year olds.

Another issue is the Zibanejad (C) Chytil (C) and Trocheck (C) don't see NYR need to add another one, sorry.

Vinny plays well as RW and it also gives PLD a right shot faceoff man. It depends on what NYR think I guess, he will help

I think it might have been on the table before they signed Trocheck. They specifically brought him in to play centre.

Value's not too far off for the NYR trade but they don't have the cap space for PLD so this won't work.

Just to point this out. PLD has never put up more than 63 points. Trocheck his 75 at the same age when PLD just hit 63. Trocheck just put up 64 points, and is signed at 5.6m

Like Why would we move Laf for PLD when Laf out produces PLD at even strength, and is team controlled for 5 more years.

So we're going to move laf for PLD when we can already see laf will be the better player, out of the kindness of our hearts?
