Major Moves

Description
Thoughts on these trades and this roster Jets fans? I had a hard time figuring out a true value for Hellebuyck so feedback is definitely welcomed from both sides. I value Schmid quite highly so he is the main piece I would try and focus a trade around.

I put Reaves on the LTIR just to show that I would like to sign him as well to be an extra forward, but a roster move will have to be made and I couldn't figure out who I would send down...suggestions welcomed there as well.

I tried to be as realistic as possible but again, I could be off value-wise on a few trades.

I know uou asked Jets fans, I think this is the type of return both teams can live with but isn't the Jets plan for Perfetti to be the 2C? I suggest moving Dvo to the Wing in a Lehkonen type of role, it may work out better for you.

Habs accept, assuming Dubois and them can come to terms with a reasonable contract.

Let's say that trade goes through, who would center the 3rd line ? Owen Beck ? Bring back Monahan ? Sign an UFA ?

The NJD deal is interesting.

Are they a Hellebuyck away from serious contention? Schmid played quite well in the playoffs. He's only 23, and still making ELC money. My outsiders opinion is that they would be comfortable running it back with him and VV next year.

All fans feedback is welcomed wink I think it's a fair deal for both sides as well especially given the circumstances. I'm not sure if Perfetti would be able to take over 2C next year but I do like the sounds of that better (if he's ready).

Fair enough, I had to add that I value Schmid quite highly so my value could very well be low.

I know you didn't ask me but bringing Monahan back would be awesome for the Habs in my opinion!

Yeah, I totally see that point of view as well and don't think that moving Schmid would be ideal for NJ...I just really want him in WPG lol.

Beck is ready, IMO you give him at least 9 games and if he isn't you send him back to Jr cause he can't go to Laval. Beyond that move Dach to center and bring up Roy or Heineman or sign a winger, there are lots of options

Probably Monahan. I think there’s a chance Beck makes it too. Then between Monahan Beck and Evans you’ve got 3 centers for 2 spots, which makes a ton of sense considering Monahan and Evans’ injury issues.

Yes, I didn't realize until recently that he made the move back to centre...I think that's great news for Jets fans!

Canes might give up a 4th or 5th for Wheeler half retained, but anymore than that is an overpayment.

What what ? We won't go Suzuki 1C Dubois 2C Dach 3C lol
I don't think neither Heineman, Farrell or Roy makes the team
We have guys like RHP Pitlick Pezzetta Ylönen way higher in the hierarchy
Guys waivers exempt outside Slafkovsky and the young defenseman will start in the AHL IMO

He also could be the goalie of the future in NJ

Rather keep him than trade him for a 30 year old rental goalie

Canes pass. That Wheeler contract is not good and Carolina could bring back Fast for cheaper anyways

Idk what the plan for Perfetti is but I don't think he'll ever be a center in the NHL, too small and too slow.

Instead of the 3rd round pick could the Jets squeeze a Ylonen or Heineman from Montreal? Honestly they're squeezed in Montreal anyway, personally I'd take Armia too if it meant we could get another decent asset instead of just another mid round pick.

I think the Helle trade is a little generous for the Jets, should drop Clarke from it for sure, would really like to get Sharangovich if possible.

Gawd I hope they can find a new home for Wheeler but Idk who's gonna want him, as Canes fans have said they'd be better off bringing Fast back then acquiring Wheeler.

I like the goalie tandem, Barron is a 4th liner, he shouldn't be getting more then $900K, 20 points in 3rd line minutes is meh.

Dach produces like a 3C 5v5. (18 points 5v5). If you keep him on PP1 it won't make a difference

Dach was arguably one of the Habs best player all year, so I don't care how much he produces at 5v5 when our team can't score.
Is he really good ? Yes
Then he will play on the top 6

He is really good on the power play, which you can still keep him on the top unit of. When each team has 5 guys he's nothing special, and so keeping him on the third line doesn't miss out on much
