No interest in Roslovic and no room for Boqvist on the blue line. Flames would want Sillinger included

Yeah I can't see Calgary jumping unless Sillinger, Johnson or 3OA is involved

I can see Calgary trying to still being competitive, even if they trade Lindholm. A guy like Roslovic is a cheap replacement player.

As for Boqvist, I know the blueline is crouded, but I can se them trading one or 2 of their current guys as well.

Dumais is a serious prospect as well.

It would have to be Sillinger instead of Dumais because of the need for another centre

Sillinger straight swap is within reason if Lindholm resigned in CBJ. The other two are clearly completely unrealistic.

You definitely undervalue how important Lindholm is to this team. They don't have a 1st line center without him. Roslovic doesn't even come remotely close to filling that.

Under the idea that Lindholm doesn't want to extend I hope to god Flames management realizes this and sell all the short term deals

Here is my proposal.

No bells, no whistles, no firsts, just plain and simple.

Marchenko and Sillinger for an extended Lindholm.

No reason to start putting conditions on picks or trying to work out the odds and ends and salaries involved.

I've said it before and will again, if the 3rd OA isn't in play (which I expect to be true since Lindholm can't extend until July 1), then I'd want '24 1st, Sillinger & Ceulemans

Sillinger is definitely the better "fit" or "target" in this type of proposal, but I wouldn't go as far as saying Johnson and 3OA are completely unrealistic. How do you figure that they are ?

24 first (top 10 protected) and sillinger is enough

Lindholm is 28 yrs old and only has a yr left on his deal. 3 o/a is way out of the question. The floor on guys like Fantilli and Carlsson is Lindholm. Not to mention you get them cost controlled for 3 yrs and restricted for another 5.

Johnson same story but slightly less upside to 3 o/a . Young cost controlled player showing extreme promise.

Sillinger is reasonable because he took a step back this last yr. Still only 20 and has upside. Still projects as a 2c probably.

Lindholm would be worth something like the 15th pick and a prospect maybe. That's no where near 3rd or 5th overall.

I'd expect the return to be somewhere in the region of what the isles paid for Horvat. Don't see you getting a 24' first on top of SIllinger. Maybe just maybe Sillinger and Ceulemans though.

Lindholm is a better player than Horvat in pretty much every way.

They're in the same ball park. I'd agree Lindholm is better though.

Not really. Horvat is coming off a career year where he dwarfed his previous highs, Lindholm has still averaged about 10 more points per 82 games than Horvat, while being a Selke calibre center and being a more physical player.

If the 1st was a hang up for Columbus, I would push it to 2015, as long as sillinger anf ceulemans are coming back. Flames are not getting 3OA this year

Their career ppg is almost identical. Horvat being a slightly more consistent goal scorer. Even look at Jfresh I think Lindholm is 93% WAR and Horvat is 91%. The Athletic Lindholm is worth 8.6, Horvat 8.2.

Lindholm is better but its a similar tier.

Well no ****, Horvat was a pending UFA at the trade deadline. Lindholm being dealt July 1 in a sign & trade is massively different and far more valuable. It's like some of you are incapable of rational thought.
