I think the Jets say yes to the 1st, but Carolina says no.

Winnipeg says no to the 2nd and maybe to the 3rd.

Did you mean to include the Caps 1st in that trade instead of the 2nd? Cause the Caps take that offer in a second, but there's no way the Jets would do it.

The second best goalie in the league for 2 late firsts and a 1B goalie is not a bad deal at all

Goalies don’t carry that sort of value.

Baffling responses.

Jets think the deal with CAR is a HUGE no for the Jets, which makes sense. Then CAR fans say no? ?

When both sides hate it that’s when u know the deal is probably realistic and fair. Both teams give up a lot but gain equal value in a place of need

I’m assuming Helleybuck extends in Carolina before the trade

I hate it because we want a goalie in his prime for like 6-7 years instead of a rental for a couple of years... if you drop Kocketkov and add another prospect or pick then we'll talk. Kocketkov has also shown the potential to be a top-10 goalie this year

I get WPG fans hating this, but CAR should love it. That's the part that makes no sense.

The Jets get a goalie who was decent, but he was on CAR, so a monkey could play net in CAR and be decent.

The 1st round picks are so late in the draft that the JETS would have to get Crazy lucky to get a decent pick.

Think that maybe goes both ways so it's probably pretty fair value wise. Now the question becomes which position is a bigger need to each team if Winnipeg needs the foward more it's done honestly if not probably not.

Exactly. Could even top 15 protect them if needed to make the deal go through.

2 firsts and the Canes goalie of the future for 1 year of the 2nd best goalie in the league, that is a terrible deal for the Canes. This is why the Canes don’t make big rental moves.

Canes wouldn’t extend because Helley wouldn’t take the kind of discount that it would take for the canes to re-sign him

Really? I'm from WPG and most believe that Stanley isn't worth a bag of used Leafs pucks.

Way overvaluing Hellebuyck and even with the smoke around Dubois thats not enough for him.

The last trade is whatever.

I look at it as one of those change of scenery trades. Stanley is the type of D man Tampa likes. They'd probably take a flyer for one season if all they give up is Fortier

I like Hellebuyck but it makes no sense to throw away all that capital for one year of him when we’ve seen that literally any goalie can look good in the canes system
