good signing by Ken H. He got Ryan to buy in and take a discount. I'm confident DR could have gotten a raise from his last contract if he wanted to hit the open market.

not at all surprising, he publicly stated that he wants to retire a Oiler. Still so funny that he got a hat trick against the panthers in 21-22

900k isn't bad at all, we can easily bury his contract if worse comes to worse but I don't see that happening

This guy went undrafted and played in Hungary age 26, and now has tallied 500 NHL games.

Regardless of value this team should be endeavoring to stay youthful, not older. The playoffs are only getting faster and faster and whatever effectiveness Ryan had last year could fall off a cliff at a moment's notice. For a team counting every cap dollar I don't know about this one.

You can fully bury the contract, so when age does catch up to him, he won't hurt your team's cap space. Hell, this wouldn't be a bad contract if he were to be a healthy scratch some nights.
