i'm pretty sure newhook will have to go in any trade for a solid 2C, but as for 3LD ive seen edmunson in a few montreal posts being traded away for a middle pick. You've got 6 mil to play with so plenty of cap space for his 3mil contract then he is also a UFA so if landy does come back it will give us a little more breathing room to manage everything

I dont think theyd give up mittelstadt in general. They tripled down on his success when everyone said move him and it actually worked for them. Would be weird to deal him now, while hes making 2.5 mil.

A lot actually. Olausson is a pretty subpar prospect, it's certainly possible he bounces back and has a better AHL season next year but I doubt he becomes anything more than a middle 6 checking forward. If Colorado wants Lindholm it starts with Newhook++

Okay...Fans may agree to it but it doesn't mean their GM's willing to pay that price lol. I get upping the Avs' offer to an extent though.

Crazier things have happened. If Buffalo wants to contend in the East they have to add to their blueline and fix goaltending. Plus they have several 1st round prospects on the way that can fill a Mittelstadt role.

Hmm I didn't think of Edmundson. The 25' 3rd rounder is all we got would that be enough?

Levi and Luukkonen are their goalies.

I dont think swapping mittelstadt for girard even helps them. Besides, they have an internal budget they cant go over.

Levi's going to be a stud #1 but putting it all on him this year is unrealistic imo. UPL is a wild card. You've got current playoff teams to compete with for a spot, with Detroit and Ottawa on the way.

It is a bit unrealistic but theyre not going to spend at the position if theyve already got their guy. Theyve completely slashed the operating budget of the NHL team so they have enough to spend for the NFL team.

Lets be honest, 95% of the stuff on here wouldn't be agreed to by GMs... We are all fans and those are the opinions we are targeting by posting on this site.

i've seen a couple times thats all he was traded for, plus if girard is moved to bring in offense edmunson or soucy would be a good addition for that 5th d that can step up into the top 4 when injuries happen
