Description
Girard trade i based off hronek deal he got a 1st and 2nd so i assumed chicago isn't moving their 1sts so i took vans 2nd then chicagos 2nd 2 years from now dickinson and a 3rd.

I valued laughton at a 1st + b prospect i think oskar is A-/B+ so a little overpay but that covers the retention on walker and the 2nd is for walker
3rd for edmunson 6th for retention

that Edmundson trade if it does happen would be late in the summer if its evident there just no market for him

I think if the habs could create a market, the return could be better

Why are the avs over paying for Edmundson?? and for that fact none of these trades make sense. Chicago wouldnt pay that price, and then the avs would decline the other two.

Hawks pass. Draft capital is worth more than adding a Girard type player at this point plus this cost is like 3 2nds+ (when you factor in retention on Dickinson). I could see adding a Girard type piece in a couple of Summers when more of the prospects are coming on line in the NHL, but not at this cost.

Hawks decline. They are the wrong team to target in a trade for Girard with the deep prospect pool Hawks have on the left side of their D.

Not a fan of that center line, which was the team's obvious weakness last season. This is still anything but deep.

COL should had traded Girard for Dvorak a year ago like I was suggesting. Now MTL has too many LHD's.

dvorak is not better than dickinson or laughton plus he's like 4.5 mil, lehky makes 4.5 mil and he's twice the player dvorak is. Not worth girard unless they're retaining half and adding more

Why trade Edmundson for a 3rd. Id' rather keep him as a veteran presence for the young Dmen. Habs could get a 1st for him at the deadline anyway.
