What exactly is BUF's reason for doing this?

Kings can’t make a trade for PLD. Not going to spend assets on him if he’s just going to sign 2 years and potentially walk once he’s a UFA. His ask is also more than 7.2M so unlikely that works.

Don’t think Buffalo nor the Kings want to make that deal. Danault and Tuch mean more to their respective teams than they would to the teams trading for them.

There will need to be something better than Turcotte going to Winnipeg, like Vallardi, Byfield or Spence if the Jets are taking back Arvidsson and Durzi.

Surely you're not suggesting that Arvidsson is a capdump, that Durzi is negative value and that OP's suggested package isn't a complete homerun for the Jets should they trade PLD?

Why? The Kings don't need Tuch at that price. No way they move Danault as he is the Kings shutdown guy for McDavid. The Kings can't afford PLD this season and they would want more than 2 years. These are awful deals for LA and they pass quickly.

Don't worry, Buffalo would hang up anyway.

I'm curious what the mindset is here. Tuchs contract is an absolute steal, he's a power forward coming off a 36 goal season, and we are retaining to move him for- I'm pretty sure this is right- two guys that wouldn't have a spot, and danault. All that so we can add 9 million to our cap.

And getting three draft picks. Pretty greedy on Jets part considering they are getting rid of a player who does not want to be there.
