I guess you don't understand how the value chart that actual GMs use, top writers in the nhl have all said this is the deal 9 +17 for 5 + 31.

Wings pass on EK without significant retention

Mfers changing their opinion on trade for some reason. Not even two weeks ago I had a lot thinking it was a fair deal.

People who get paid to do this for a living said it's a fair trade, but some rando on here says no, so he must be right

make it 37 and i will talk with you ! Top writers would be great to acknowledge that this year draft have a peculiar effect on the value that is off of usual standards.

There is quite literally a difference of a midround third between 31 and 37.
If you want a 3rd, sure!

I would do this trade as Montreal, though I imagine I'm in the minority.

lol. Well this won't happen then. You may write every dream you want but if I find this for standard draft where you get 43% chance to draft NHLer, tell me what is the fair deal in a draft where 65% chance are present ... You guys only repeat what writers, insider says instead of thinking where are the chances or the bias ... If you prefer to be parrots it's your choice I won't fight it!

yes and by far. If we go down as far as that we should get more than a simple swap.

If the cost for 2nd is 5th Suzuki & Guhle. As fans we should be equally irrational and ask for Larkin & Wallinder, too. tears of joy cool

I guess you don't know how actual GM's work, they don't really use pick value charts to determine the value of picks. Those were made by sports analysts to give a rough idea of the historical data to fans and media. GM's don't actually use them since every draft and every prospect are different. If they did use them you would see trades that balance picks (like 10th + 101 for 26th + 37th + 165) instead of just 10th for 26 and a 2nd (these are just random numbers I threw out there for an example) my point is if GM's used actual pick value charts they would squabble over every trade moving multiple picks on both sides until the teams were trading exact values

I will trust Went_Wughes' open over literally nearly any article talking about a proposed trade.
And several Canadiens fans on this website.
