Description
For Shi*s and Giggles.

Still got a Stacked AHL :
Farrel,Kidney, Mesar, Heineman, Davidson,Roy,Mysak, Beaudin, Struble, Mailloux, Trudeau and Dobes.
Hutson,Tuch and Pitlick in NCAA and Kapanen, Engstrom and Kostenko over sea's .
We gave up all the bright shiny pieces to land this duo but there's still a wealth of diverse talent left here.

We still got some Cap space for TDL and RS spots to make deals still.
Hoffman,Eddy and Pitlick will leave this year creating room for AHL call ups.
Next year Dvorak, Savard and maybe Kovacevic depending on Mailloux eligibility timeline.
Lots of room for growth in the next year and buys a alot of talent time they need

Hughes breakdown
Slafkovsky (1st OA last year)
Matheson(top pair Dman)
Beck(1st pick in the 2nd round but making teams regret it)
Top 5 pick
Chance at a top 5th to likely 20th OA next year
2nd round pick and Conditional 1st if converted its CGY pick so TBD where it will fall(could be top 20 , could be 32nd OA i got no feel for this GM yet)

Thats a lot of Quality in the higher end of the 1st round

If you don’t want feedback for your trades, then don’t post. But if you’re going to post things like this, especially when they’re illogical, whether fictional or not, you should expect to get feedback from fans of that team.

ok i can work with more then this to us
What is your overpay ?
I mean i overpaid for Hughes
Zegras i gave fair value with a slight overpay with that 2nd that could turn into an unprotected MTL 1st.
Good as this tema looks goaltending is sketchy and replacing it is hard after these moves.

That said we still got lots of depth quality pieces

The Habs could give us there next 3 first round picks, Slafkovsky, and Caufield and I still wouldn’t trade Hughes

Hughes has it but getting a lets say top 10 work ?
Or is 5th or nothing ?

I can rework things maybe give Hughes the later top 10 pick
But i'd have to bang out a deal with AZ, WSH or DET seem like the most likely to move them .
Rest of the top 10 i dont see budging

I dont even know what to make of that Hughes trade. I dont see NJ trading Hughes anytime soon, but that is such a wild overpay they'd probably have to take it

It’s 5th or nothing. Not only is Zegras one of the best forwards on the team, but he is incredibly marketable for Anaheim. Half of the fans this year only showed up to watch Zegras and his flippy puck antics. Ducks would need an unfair trade to any team asking for him.

I don't think there's a trade you can throw at the Devils that will make them move Hughes tbh. And idk about Zegras either, he's gonna be the face of their franchise for the next 12+ years if all goes well, I doubt they'd give all that up for Kirby Dach and picks?

Its not a deal breaker , just makes things harder on my end is all lol
TBH i thought the same thing about Milano and ANA never letting him go
Big difference in players but as far as your "marketability" it proves that its not determining factor alone just a bonus
To me Milano was worth every penny of the 1.9m he wanted on a rebuilding team but you let him go despite high marketability and Chemistry

Again just point out Marketability is subjective and a bonus not comparing the 2 players outside that

Contributing is the bare minimum required to post here.
Get on board or dont but i only engage those with Solutions not Problems.
Nothing in life gets better by listening to the guy who see's problems instead of Solutions.

The issue with Milano is that (based on team sources) he was not a team player. He had a lot of trouble with management and staff and tended to not follow their coaching, he kinda just did his own thing. That was more of the reason why he was let go.

That was the hope
I have to get past the people who show up to not talk about a trade.
To just get offended that a fictional trade was made on a forum designed to specifically discuss fantasy trades and players values.
From there you find the smart fans in each fanbase who show up to talk hockey and a real conversation can begin.
Its a process but its worth it.

Alright so thats the threshold for value of Marketability
Makes sense ours is if you're an Alcoholic you're gone which is ironic given our Owners lol

I Prefer to think of them as Flashy and Marketable lol
The Canadiens with Team USA's top line going forward baby! hahahaha
Personally im a Caufield-Turcotte-Farrell line fan myself when i do Team USA line for team Canada for Shi*s and Giggles.
But there was an article with pictures of these kids still close and goofy ... it was just so Genuine and Chill that i thought "i want that in MTL"

I knew the Cost would be RIDICULOUS and the Flak would be as big

Best part about that first line is that any other team could just roll out a bunch of 200+ lb dudes and knock all the floppy hair off their heads.

They're all great players, but they're better off teaming up to watch F1.

Why people feel the need to show up and not talk about something is astounding .
