This is actually a fairly decent offer for a rental - but frankly you have 2 things going against you.
1) Pesce is a major name in a weak year at a premium position and that will create desperation for his services - boosting cost.
2) I don't actually think Pesce is available. This is Carolina's MO when it comes to negotiating a contract to leak that they're going to trade him. I'd bet on an extension in Carolina

The price historically for cap dumps similar to Bailey is a 2nd. Just because the hawks have cap space doesn't mean they have to do anyone any favors. There was a great article on it, of course I can't find the link to it now.

It has probably been the single most agreed upon trade on cap friendly that Bailey will cost a 2nd to dump on CHI for months and months now. Good luck coming out of left field and changing that.

If Pesce is available, the Islanders should be all over him. But, yes I don't think he will be available. Ross won't be attached to any picks in order to move him- they can just send him down to the minors and bury his contract if they want it off the books
