That’s totally fair. Just doing a little experiment here. Only thing that I could say is that you’re in win now mode, and Saros takes you to the top right now. Nikishin does not.

I’m mad jealous of CAR though. They’re great, but still have an insane prospect pool and a lot of picks. Great organization they have over there

Totally understandable. He’s a great prospect.

What about the other part of the deal though? Would the Canes be willing to do some sort of Johansen-Teravainen swap

Honestly though, I’d think he’d be a good D partner for Josi. Brunette could help unlock his offense again. Probably overpaying here, but I like the fit in Nashville. Helps that he’s Finnish too

It’s probably a limited group of players that they’d include him in a deal for. I don’t think a goalie is what they’d include him with. Saros is a stud, top 3 in the league probably. But I don’t think having him changes this iteration of the team much so it wouldn’t be worth moving Nikishin for. Top end elite franchise center superstars I’m sure they would, but those guys don’t come on the market so probably not a real fit out there realistically.
