As of this moment, Chiarot is the worst contract on Detroit. How many teams would kill for that AAV and term to be their "worst contract." Krug would replace that even though he is the better player. Why lose the best piece (#9) and add an anchor to the ship.

Maata worked wonders for Hronek, and was given an extension because he is something missing from the team. Re-signing and moving him is a great way to dissuade FAs from signing in Detroit, especially when he helped the rebuilding team that he came to in the first place.

yeah its rumours but this is the hottest movement period of the year and where there is smoke, there is typically fire. not fair to dismiss the noise so utterly and completely. Most Wings fans i know are fed up of the rebuild and they arent bad enough for lottery picks in the future. Eventually, you have to choose an identity and pay for quality.

The team was bad enough for lottery picks, but as is the norm with the lottery, they lost... more than every other team (possibly second statistically not 100%). They are doing just fine with the rebuild.

This site is primarily short term fans. Day to day based on new and exciting information and rumors, the trades swirl and are objectively/subjectively formulated. The Wings have an identity, and its Seider and rebuilding the D (works in multiple ways).
