Description
Myers is worth a 2nd or 3rd after his bonus is paid, especially if VAN retains.

VAN takes a chance on Coghlan, and showed good signs in Vegas. Also uses him as a good replacement for Bear while he is on IR from surgery.

Tampa has no capspace to afford Colton, and no leverage. Comes out with 2 picks, a prospect, and an offensive dman that's ready for NHL minutes. Rathbone struggles defensively but has great offensive instincts.

Barbashev is likely to be an overpay of a contract but his contract salary would be the same as Garlands, and the team gets a shake-up in the top 6 with size and scoring.
Canucks trade back and pick either Willander or Simashev at 19. Hopefully take another Dman at 35, unless a forward falls out of the first round that is too good not to take. Garland is still one of the best 5v5 players league-wide, and could use a better role in the top 6. The Blackhawks also have almost no one outside of Bedard and could use some more NHL talent.

at 3 mil colton stays in tampa, we only cant afford him if he wants north of 3.75

Not enough for Coghlan. He was actually really solid when he played, but the right side of the defensive unit became so solid with Chatfield's emergence that he didn't really get a chance. For a 24-year-old RD, I'd want a 3rd ideally, but I wouldn't complain with a 4th. A 5th feels like it's just not quite enough

I think a 4th would get it done as well. 3rd seems high but I can definitely see them wanting more than a 5th

With league min contracts and a 22 man roster and jeannot at 2 mil, the max we could pay colton is 3.85

The only appeal to Meyers post his bonus being paid is to get over the cap floor for cheap.

Anaheim doesn't need help getting over the cap floor.

Our interest in Meyers is if he comes in at free.99 or less acquisition cost. We see no reason to move a 2nd, even in a trade down situation. 6 million against the cap is still 6 million, that's a HUGE benefit to Vancouver.

TB doesn't give a rats a$$ about picks.Rathbone sucks.the only piece TB would really be interested in is Karlsson and that's not enough.

If this CHI trade is before the draft, it is a rather large overpay. But, if it is draft day on the draft floor and Oliver Moore is available at 11th overall (or another player that CHI is really high on), I would absolutely do this.
