Deeper, but I still think short on goal scoring.

There was a period of time where I was doing Fabbri and a 3rd for Jo (2m ret) and Wings fans hated on the idea of bringing Jo in... calling him washed and useless. Was that a small subset of the fanbase or is it just the idea of not having to pay anything at all that has wings fans in regret?

I agree but better overall.

Both of those players I targetted in a bunch of my AGMs, thought they could add to this team.

I think just some of the fanbase. I've been doing Fabbri for RyJo for quite awhile now. Would have been decent for both teams.

Many Wings fans insanely overvalue any draft pick.

I agree, I was offering more to LA when I traded for him.

I know Yzerman is a very good GM but sometimes he is too cautious.

I'm sure he has other moves planned but these are two players I targetted for the team who o thought could be had for very cheap.
I would do Fabbri for RyJo. Nashville would have the same cap hit but still have an effective when healthy player. If not healthy LTIR.
Hall I've sent a future second but considering this deal I would send McIsaac and maybe a 4th or something.

Don't think the Wings missed out at all by acquiring 6m Hall and 4m Johansson. That cap can be spend much better.
I understand why the Avs did. And the Hawks....yea Hall might be a guy that help Berard.

I thought Hall would have been a good top 6 guy, with a short investment, at a cheap price.

RJ was going to be a risky bet to me though, even at $4m/year.
