Johnson is a decent 3rd pairing option, but that's pretty rich for what he brings.

1 year is fine. BUF is gonna be menacing in the regular season and this is a piece to help in a very possible playoff run

Guess they get a veteran mentor for younger d-men like Power. It's too much money though, but, it just for a year on the other hand.

He seems to fit the mold of what alot of buffalo fans were asking for on here. Maybe alittle older but he's still very capable.

I'm surprised Johnson didn't retire. He is broken, so it makes little sense to give him this much, even if it is just one year.

I doubt it. I don’t think any of our RHD are first pairing Defenders. SAMUELSSON is definitely not a bottom pair Defender he has to player higher up the food chain.

I don’t really understand this Johnson signing? 3M for depth D man. Maybe a mentor role but I gotta be missing something here.

Great signing. They need some solid veterans who have been around the block and who can bring this team to where they want to go. As a former #1 pick D, he can mentor both Dahlin and Power. Love it.

One year deal for a great leader and a guy with tons of experience. Like it, whether or not he spends most of the year in the pressbox or on the 3rd pair remains to be seen. Who really cares if its an overpay? Its one year and its the Pegula's money, not mine
