We just picked arguably the steal of the draft

We aren’t moving him for someone who went at least 20 spots higher than he should’ve

Hawks decline. They were trying to trade up virtually all draft night to grab Moore; every team ultimately decided to draft their guy with their pick. The Hawks had Moore rated a LOT higher than 19th and, somehow, he fell to them, anyway! Even if Arizona sent us a third round pick with But, hawks would likely still decline.

Just because you drafted him higher doesn't mean he has more value. Armstrong was a fool not to take Benson, Moore or ASP. I feel like Wood is even a better version of But. No chance Moore is available.

Keep in mind he’s the same guy who tried defending picking Mitchell Miller

The steal of the draft eh?

Hm, his name isn’t Quentin Musty because Musty is easily the steal of the draft. He’s probably making the sharks out of camp.

I was hoping for Musty at 25 but I don't mind the Stenberg pick at all.

lol. Don't get me wrong, I like Musty a lot in the range he was picked, but he is not considered a steal. At least, not yet, and it'll be a long time before anyone can make that determination definitively. Also, it is highly unlikely, in the long run, he ends up better than Oliver Moore.

Moore at 19 and Lardis at 67th were steals. Gulyayev was a steal at 31st. Brindley was a steal at 34th. Cristall was a steal at 40th overall. Sawchyn at 63rd was a steal. Perron and Allen were steals where they were taken. Musty was taken right about where he should've been.

Isles accept, feels like an overpay from Arizona's side. McBain and Fasching both strike me as similar value type players (bottom 6 grinders good for 25ish points); so coughing up a 2024 2nd for Koivula and Salo is a little too much gravy. You could probably make that a 4th and the value would be perfect.

Well I know who not to hire as a scout if I ever owned an NHL team
