Caps wouldn't make that trade. Fehervary is going to be a big part of the retool, Brodie wouldn't be. Adding a draft pick from Washington's end is also rather silly

You gotta add more to get Nashville to take this deal

truthfully have no idea what Fehervary is worth so the pick was an outside estimate. i’d even do it 1-for-1.

Kinda hard to believe that the Caps would give up assets for one year of 5m Brodie but the Leafs can sign Dumba for 2.5m

Caps aren’t trading a young top4 defensemen who’s locked up for three years for TJ Brodie. Let alone adding a pick as well.

Totally agree. Caps easily decline. If anything, Leafs would add the pick coming to the Caps for Fehervary, who is a a younger, cheaper, and better defender...

Even 1 for 1, the Caps easily decline. Again, Leafs would need to add.

Lol easy no from the Caps. Leafs would be the one adding picks here, and the Caps still say no unless it's something crazy. No reason to get older

Nashville has two goalies.

I feel like I'm the biggest Brodie defender there is on here, but why are the caps trading a guy they just resigned for him?

Why would the Caps make this trade? Fehervary is 23 years old and is signed to a bargain contract for 3 more seasons.

This is just flat out stupid and incorrect. Fehervary is a clear 3D or better in the NHL, Brodie’s day has come and gone he’s closer to a 5D than he is to the Top 4.

1) Brodie is a top defensive defenseman

But more importantly I don't know much about Fehervary and wasn't comparing them. I was comparing dumba and Brodie
