Pageau+wahlstrom sure, but debrusk just came off a career year and is younger so for bruins to take on an older Center that is slightly overpaid you are gonna have to give us a reason to make that swap, Salo isn’t that.

Pageau 13 had goals and 15 primary asissts, Coyle was 13-13. Coyle had more powerplay time, tallying over 150 more shifts than Pageau. Pageau won face offs at a 5% higher clip than Coyle, plus he was tasked to be the face off "guy" late in games, while Coyle was at least third in line. Coyle also played 12 more games than Pageay

This isnt at all a debate. Pageau is better than any free agent available right now (Bergeron and Krejci excluded but this is assuming they retired), and there are very few centers available for trade. And Boston has very few assets.

As stated above, Boston has 4 middle 6 centers in the lineup already. 5 of the 6 most NHL ready FW prospects are centers.

You also have to account for the fact that there is a “cap tax” because every team in the nhl pretty much has a cap problem therefore reduces the value of a lot of players
