Just don't see a way where we can trade away both Yaeger and Pickering. I think we could trade for Karlsson without giving up either.

It's easy, he wants traded, they team wants to trade him before the season starts, and no one else is offering anything. simple economics.

I hate to break it to you, but SJ isn't getting anything close to what they paid for EK as a return. 1-2 NHL players, 1 "prospect", 1 first, 1 second... tops. They will retain salary and get salary back.

If you want Karlsson you will need to give up something of value. That how trades work. Plus they are going to retain 4.5 million for 4 years hahahaha.

Yager absolutely will not be in any trade. You can take him out of that deal. Karlsson hasn't been traded yet because SJ thinks they can get this kind of value, but they can't.
