half decent list, few guys that are a little bit of a question mark:
- lots of old guys on here... talented, but definitely on the decline. How do old players have break out seasons if they already have really good careers?
- kempe already has had his breakout season, hes seen as a top winger all over now... Jenner's role is also pretty set, have a hard time seeing him take a step further than he did last year
- brown's talents are well known, he just had an unfortunate injury.
- jost, katchouk, walker are all just fourth liners

chiarot has sucked forever, struggle to see him breaking that trend now that detroit has a much better d core. Realistically he shouldn't even be playing.

definiteily agree on hayton, sandin, samberg, kakko, zadina, lundestrom and novak though!

For COL, Olofsson may not even sniff NHL time. Someone like Drouin or Wood would be a better candidate

I guess you could say the older player like OEL are more of a bounce back which I should make that list. But I couldn't figure out who would have a breakout season for LA, maybe Byfield then. Walker I can see having a better season and Katchouk is showing promise but a better choice could've been Blackwell. Jost had a good season the last few with BUF but he might need new scenery where he gets more opportunity again.

I'd put KK or Jarvis for Carolina. I'm doubtful that Drury will even be on the roster by opening night.

Olofsson was great for DAL in the playoffs when Benn was out and I can see him fighting him way up the lines to show his skill. But yea a better choice would be Wood

Kempe had 41 goals last season. How do you breakout from that?

Ben Chairot at 30+ years old is probably past having a breakout season

I'd have put any of KJ, Marchenko, Texier, Chinakhov, Boqvist, Werenski, or Tarasov up there long before Boone.

Jarvis or KK for canes. Drury will have a bottom 6 role most likely or could be part of a deal still this year

Dude. Walker is a 28 yo 4th liner. Try Neighbours or Perunovich.
