That's probably the most realistic laf trades I've seen where he's not under or over valued. This makes sense for both teams and would be a pretty great base (maybe a piece gets added somewhere) but otherwise pretty good deal.

You're gonna have to do a lot better than that if you want to pry Laf away when Rangers aren't looking to trade him.

Can't see the Rangers letting go of Lafreniere for just that, if they were willing to move him for that type of return he'd already of been traded.

A 2nd round pick, who's not a high end prospect and a 22 year old who produces significantly less than laf in significantly more ice time?
NO.

JFC Laf put up 36 ES points in barely 15 minutes of ice time a game.
I hate to break it to you, but thats essentially a 50-60 point player with a reasonable amount of ice time ( that includes power play time)

So no the rangers aren't trading a 1oa, who hasn't broken out yet to superstar level, but is clearly a middle 6 player at the moment, who isn't insanely expensive yet. For 2 players that don't improve the team in the short term OR the long term.

No way. Where’s the 1st? And they need a cheap roster player who’s good for 40+ points, just for starters

Kurashev put up 25 points in 17:25 per game. 21 points at ES
Laf put up 39 points in 15:13 per game. 35 points at ES.

I'd say laf is the one being underrated here.
A player putting up points for a terrible team with being fed minutes is usually the sign for regression on a real team.

Don't see how the Rangers could match a 4.3m offer sheet. So Hawks and LAF go the offer sheet route and Rangers just get a 2nd rounder.

If someone were to offer Laf an OS thats under 6m+, the rangers match by moving goodrow. It would force us to spend an asset to do it but we're not losing laf for nothing of value.
